Groups

Wesley Class

An active group of retired adults who engages in book studies by authors such as Adam Hamilton and Matt Rawle. Meets at 10:15 or following the 9:30 Beacon Worship on the Adult Education Hall.

Faith Class

The Faith Class is a dedicated and faithful body of believers who read and study the Bible together each Sunday, prayerfully seeking guidance and encouragement from God’s word. The Faith Class is currently studying the Book of Acts, reading verse by verse, being guided by the Holy Spirit, learned Biblical scholars and each other. All are welcome to join us on our faith walk through the Bible. Meets at 10:15 or following the 9:30 Beacon Worship on the Adult Education Hall.

Friendship Class

Learning and understanding the Bible is our main goal. We meet in the Friendship classroom after the 9:30 am church service. We are a loving, caring, friendly class of adults. At this time we are studying the "Creed" by Adam Hamilton. We have open discussions and appreciate the views of others. Collection of offering is used to help such as (The Food Pantry, Pre-School needs, UMCOR, etc.). Everyone is welcome. Meets at 10:15 or following the 9:30 Beacon Worship on the Adult Education Hall.

Joy Class

The Joy Class is meeting except for the second Sunday of the month, and currently studying Twelve Ordinary Men. Meets at 10:15 or following the 9:30 Beacon Worship on the Adult Education Hall.

Thursday Bible Study

This group of retired men and women meet at 10 am on Thursdays in our Social Hall.  To guide their study the use the Upper Room Disciplines for the year, and are taught by Carol Loyer.

Miracle Monday’s Small Group

This group for adults in their 20’s and 30’s meets at Plaza Azteca at the Norfolk Premium Outlets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. They share in table fellowship and conversation about their faith journeys.

Games Small Group

Let the good times roll!  This group is for anyone interested in meeting in the afternoon to play board and/or card games. The Games Group meets on the 2nd Friday of each month from 10:30-12:00 in the Wesley Classroom.

Mom’s Group

Led by Sarah Wright, this group of moms meets in Sarah’s home on Wednesdays from 7:30 until 8:30 for support and spiritual growth.
