Rise Against Hunger: Help Haygood End Hunger
It Starts With a Meal—and it starts with you!
Haygood is once again joining the movement to end hunger through Rise Against Hunger, and we invite you to be part of this meaningful opportunity to serve.
In communities around the world, food is often the most immediate and urgent need. Together, we can help meet that need by coming together as a congregation to package thousands of nutritious meals that will provide essential nourishment to people facing hunger.
This year marks Haygood’s 17th year participating in Rise Against Hunger. Over the years, our congregation has come together to package more than 270,000 meals—an incredible testament to what we can accomplish when we serve together.
What Can I Expect?
This is a hands-on service opportunity for people of all ages and abilities. Children, youth, adults, and older adults are all welcome to participate. Volunteers will work together to package meals that will be distributed to communities experiencing hunger around the world.
The meal-packing process includes both standing and sitting stations, so volunteers can participate in the way that works best for them. Whether you prefer to stand, need to remain seated, or are looking for an activity the whole family can enjoy, there is a place for you on the team.
No special experience is required—just a willingness to show up, lend a hand, and serve. Families can participate together, friends can volunteer as a group, and individuals can join alongside fellow members of the Haygood community.
Whether you have participated in Rise Against Hunger with Haygood before or this will be your first time, you have a place on the team.
